Violet Haze, Purple Phase

I’m in lost in a violet haze
It chokes me as I stick around
And I’ve got nowhere else to be
So I might as well take some time
To enjoy the purple phase

I know I’ll get through it
I know it will pass by
But I’m in no hurry
To escape lavender dreams
Or the grape-flavored treats
Around my head

I feel the lilacs brush my feet
As I step further into amethyst
Failing to hear the voices
But I responded to the storm
That rained purple blood on me

And each purple scene scrolls by
That doesn’t mean it’s gone
Red and blue blending in my brain
I’m caught up in the spring nature
In the violet haze, in prune-like trances
Within my soul, my raisin soul

I know I’ll miss it when I leave
I know I will leave some day
Until then, I think I’ll stick around
To plum trees and wine winds
Swimming in the violet haze

I might as well give in
To this purple phase
