This painting has a long history. It began when my husband asked me if all the pictures I created had to be the same size. I told him no and to illustrate the point I threw some colors onto the screen and made a black border around them in a square instead of a rectangle. I didn’t really like the picture so I called it “For Jonathan” and put it in my Rejects folder. Some time later a friend of mine challenged me to take one of my rejected picture concepts and turn it into something I would put back into my Finished Pictures folder. After working on it for awhile I came up with 3 different concepts. This is the last… and my favorite (though the other 2 aren’t bad either). I’m a fan of the web, and it just seems to work with the background colors and black frame. It’s not meant to be sinister or anything other then interesting and elegant. (If you’re reading this would you please write “YES” in the “Leave a comment” box below. I’m just curious how many people, if any, are reading this far into the descriptions. Thanks.)
