It’s funny how some of my pictures come about. Take this one for instance. One day I was looking at an abstract I had created using a style I perfected in grade school… I would take a black crayon to a white sheet of construction paper and draw one long continuous looping line crisscrossing itself to form rounded shapes (big & little) and then fill in each compartment with a different color. When I decided to try that technique on the computer it led to a work I call “Pieces of Color”. One day as I was looking at that picture for some reason the overall shape of it reminded me of a whale. I tried various techniques to get the look I wanted and the result is what you see above. I thought the whale deserved a colorful background to swim around in, so I juxtaposed it on top of one of my other works… “Chagalled”… just to see how it would look. I liked it! I just love the process of creating art from first thought to completion! By the way… does anybody really bother to read these descriptions? If you’re reading this would you please write “YES” in the “Leave a comment” box below. I’m just curious. Thanks.
