Matted prints

I just got 4 matted prints, I can’t believe the quality, they are such good value. I was going to frame them but they’re quite solid and already have hanging bits on the back so I think I’ll just leave it. That’s my two cents.

Only 3 weeks now...

Been dry for 2 months, got a new job selling dive travel and now I’m off to Fiji to check out Beqa Lagoon in 3 weeks time. Can’t wait! I don’t think it’s a photographer’s paradise like North Sulawesi or Sipadan/Mabul but I’m still pretty excited as I hear the diving is beautiful.

All calibrated up and nowhere to go...

I bought a Spyder2 Extreme screen calibration tool yesterday and just set it all up. Everything looks a little bit weird now but I’m told that I’ll get used to it. I opened up Aperture expecting to find a huge disappointing mess but luckily most of my photos are fine, some are a little weird but that’s easy to fix and at least I’ve corrected the problem now.


Great camera shop in Melbourne?

I’m off to the camera store tomorrow to get a lens converter for my Canon G9 so that I can fit a polarised lens onto it. I’m thinking about extra lenses too because I’m off to Singapore in a few days and I’d like to go round being (pretending to be) a photographer for a day… I don’t have any knowledge of fitting other lenses onto what amounts to a point & s…

Flooded camera

I was devastated when I flooded my 3-month old Canon G9 camera under Mordialloc Pier in early March. 40 minutes into the dive, the flash stopped firing properly (missed a few great opportunities of fighting dumpling squid as a result too!) and then it got a bit hot.
