This is an origianl batik done on silk fabric.
Batik is the ancient process of using wax and dyes to create designs on fabric. To have some control over where the dyes spread on the fabric, wax is applied to outline and contain the dyes that want to spread anywhere they can.
The finished work is then stretched and mounted on foamcore.
I am self taught and have been working in this medium for over 20 years.
