This painting is acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. It is 30"w x 24"h.
This painting was inspired by the ancient cave paintings of horses that are in the caves in Europe. These paintings were created many thousands of years ago by our very earliest ancestors and some are as old as 35,000 years. I have read that when Picasso viewed the some of these cave paintings he commented “We have learned nothing in 12,000 years.”

Thank you! I like these cave paintings — they are fun to do and I’m not bothered by trying to make it look like a real horse.
