Cave Painting Little People

Acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. 11:” x 14”

These little people were inspired by ancient cave paintings and petroglyphs that are to be found all over the North American Southwest—many of them in the area that is now called New Mexico. The little people are a little like ancient images that were identified as Shaman figures. The little spiral is said by some archeologists to represent the kiva.

Oh I love these guys. They look a bit like these little skeleton people I am always drawing on notepads. But I love the primitive yet sophisticated approach to this painting. Great job.
