Imagining Paradise... by Carol Clifford

This is a photo I captured in VanDusen Botanical Garden, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, captured in May of 2012. It is what I imagine paradise might look like and who I might meet there.

I dedicate this image in memory of Baby Molly Elizabeth Campbell, of Victoria, B.C. Canada, who died on July 10th, 2013. Molly battled acute leukemia from 4 weeks of age to just over 2 1/2 years old. She beat the cancer but died from complications relating to an infection. I had the privilege of photographing Molly when she was in remission in 2012. She died in St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee. A precious angel, now at peace.

I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. In the past, photography was something I did casually, using very ordinary cameras, in order to capture family photos, travel memories, etc. With my first DSLR camera, a new world of creativity opened for me. I now see the world in a whole new way through the lens of my camera. I invite you to journey with me through my collection of photos and enjoy! It is my hope that you will find in my collection of work, some art that you will purchase.

Beautiful! Makes me want to pack my bags and visit British Columbia – but even more, to anticipate the welcome of our Lord.

  • Thanks so much for the lovely comments. I am so pleased that you get what I was trying to communicate about our Lord in this creation! Bless you…
