Artist's Description

Bears do eat honey but they are really after the larvae (baby bees) because of their rich source of protein. Bears will rip a tree trunk apart to get to a concentrated source of energy. Honey is actually a natural source diet to them along with fish, plants, insects and berries. Knocking down a beehive would be a hassle and probably wouldn’t be done unless they no longer had a significant source of other preferred food, such as berries or fish.

“Info from internet”
Canon D40. Photo edited in PSE and Topaz. Layered to add bees. Lots of cloning and blending to make the image appear realistic and take out signs of humans. The bear was photographed in a sports store.
