My What Big Teeth You Have by

Borrego Springs is a small desert town located in the Southern California Desert. One of the land owners there, Dennis Avery, owner of Galleta Meadows Estates in Borrego Springs envisioned the idea of adding ‘free standing art’ to his property with original steel welded sculptures created by ‘Perris Jurassic Park’ owner/artist/welder Ricardo Breceda. There are 130 metal sculptures created by Ricardo Breceda of creatures that once roamed the desert region 3 million years ago. Originally from Durango, Mexico, and not an artist, there were many twists and turns in Ricardo’s life. One day he made a dinosaur statue for his daughter. That’s when he became an artist. But there is much more to the story. Ricardo eventually encountered Dennis Avery, land owner of Galleta Meadows Estates in Borrego Springs. Dennis has used his land as an enormous outdoor gallery, home to Breceda’s Artwork. You can read more at

I am happy to share my vision with you and I hope that it touches you in some small way.
