currently studying art at the university of tennessee, knoxville. originally enrolled fall 2006 as graphic design major, with previous education focused on communications and newspaper production.
never before fall 2006 have i studied fine arts and although i have learned and grown exponentially, i still retain an attitude of belligerence toward authority as well as a deep distrust of those figures. i learned long ago not to accept something at face value. i should never believe something just because someone wrote it in a book, announced it in a lecture, or brow beat me with it as i was growing up. therefore, due to my exemplary critical thinking skills i got myself encouraged to “explore other opportunities (not including graphic design).” so now i study watercolor, media, and art history and critique.

every ounce of energy exhausted by fruitless endeavors / and i surge through the sieve of attrition as though i never was or will be whole.
path
crippled causeway carries me along a course, / and i’m quite certain navigation is inapplicable.
desperate truth
i want to reach down my throat and / pull out the voice of reason along / with the bloody black bile that / is the poison of my logic.
