Bathtub Mary by Carol Kroll

Bathtub Mary by

A long time ago, when I joined forces with my band called Sweet Jelly, I wrote lyrics to a tune called “Bathtub Mary”. I never understood why people kept Mary, Jesus’s mother outside under a bathtub outside in their yard in sanctuary and decided to write about it. Thus the inspiration to the painting.

Enjoy.

It is a flamingo…congruent to the lyrics of the song I wrote lyircs to for this painting for my band. Lawn ornaments. I personally don’t undertand the fascination, but I guess it is a pseudo USA thing.

    whatever

Oh wow, loving your style, it has a strong graphic feel to it, but the texture of the paint and the line work and the cut outs really GORGEOUS!!
