This has a painted look, Charlotte. I like the powerful red colours, contrasting with the bare winter tree. The red of that famous part of Australia.
The only minus, is the slight overblown highlight, top right.

I only use a compact digi, on my photosite. The real art is in the composing and the subsequent photoart refinements.
