this is beautiful. I am very interested in street portraits, but the concern is how to take unobtrusive shots or be brave enough to ask – did you let her know that you were taking it? or did you use a zoom lens?

It was with a 200mm lens …and no, I didn’t ask her ..I wanted to capture the moment.

Candid work is always difficult at best, a statement or story needs to be present, sometimes it is blatent, sometimes subtle, (like this is)....But I like subtle, it makes me think about the image in more depth. You did good!

Not a subject I am normally familiar with and so in viewing it, I grow a little. This is a truly beautiful shot. The vivid blue frames the gorgeous face adding a depth and intimacy. It makes me wonder who this woman was and what her life is like. Thank you for sharing this.
