The Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) is the most widespread species of the flamingo family . It is found in parts of Africa, Southern Asia (coastal regions of Pakistan & India) & Southern Europe (including Spain , Sardinia, Albania, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, & the Camargue region of France).
This particular bird is the oldest flamingo, an adult when he arrived in Adelaide in 1933. He is now blind. Adelaide Zoo, South Australia, Oceania.
