Artist's Description

Looking like a “two-headed duck” due to the reflection, this all white Pekin Duck (Anas platyrhynchos domestica or Anas peking) swims on a small wetland. It is a breed of domesticated duck used primarily for egg and meat production. It was bred from the Mallard in China. Photographed at a suburban wetland, Oakland Native Fish Sanctuary in Adelaide, at some stage having escaped or been released from a domestic situation.
Canon 500D, Canon 100-400mm lens.
(Featured in Tuesday Afternoon & Other Groups.)
