African Elephant, Loxodonta Africana, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, East Africa. Part of a large herd of elephants crossing the plains and heading for water. They control the traffic, no one argues with an elephant. Elephants spend most of their time eating. Elephants must have access to water and enjoy spending time washing, playing and cooling off. African Elephants are classified as endangered. They are victims of large-scale poaching and habitat loss due to rapid human expansion.
