Ergon ~ The Right Eye of the Soul by

Blend of my shots of the sunflower. My Pen & ink sketch of the face. Photo from my 1918 International Chemical Series book for the words. Texture by ShadowHouse & other small things created by me. ..lots of processing in Paintshop Pro 12 & Photoshop.
Nikon D5000 18-55mm.

Ergon:
This is the spiritual ancient alchemy symbol for the right eye of the soul,
by which it looks to the eternal. This symbol allows focus on higher,
finer spiritual vibrations. It also ascertains the infinite nature of our soul,
and our capability to tap into the infinite universe.

Alchemy is the art of liberating parts of the Cosmos
from temporal existence and achieving perfection which,
for metals is gold, and for man, longevity, then immortality
and, finally, redemption.
Material perfection was sought through the action
of a preparation (Philosopher’s Stone for metals;
Elixir of Life for humans), while spiritual ennoblement
resulted from some form of inner revelation or other enlightenment.

    That wonderful slice out of the seed pod is such an enticing hook Carmen. It ‘s a detail that contributes to the energy of this story arc. But you’re palette generates a mood much like the gemstone’s setting presents its fire.

  • Thank you so much Ted! This is what happens to the brain when you get lost reading an old 1918 book. You go wandering off into a whole new world. Hugz for you ever so interesting take on the works.
