Yes, is a bit funny, you have bred a lovely breed of cattle. I have 9 big ox and 3 cows. Tourists come past and blink, milking cows in Camooweal??!!
Oh Daisy, you did a great job!! You too, Carmel.
She did do a good job, I was nervous; being an older cow and first calf I thought she might have trouble. She had him in no time and after she delivered she stood and turned around and bellowed and bellowed over the top of him!! I thought she might trample him, must have been the smell of the blood. She eventually settled down and started licking him. Then she kept kicking him when he nuzzled her udder, but being a typical persistent male, she eventually let him have a drink and rest is history and I had a good night’s sleep!!!
How precious . . . they are beautiful!!!
Thanks Lorilee, I went to check them early this morning and the calf (I will have think of a name!) was snuggled up in the Mitchel grass sound asleep and Mum happliy grazing in her fresh paddock!
Wonderful capture, he is soooo cute…
:0 Thanks Rebecca, he is adorable!!
How wonderful!!…Lovely image of devoted mum and baby Carmel!! :)
Thanks Meg, he is adorable, so fluffy and unihibited, comes straight up for a smell and taste, Mum does not approve though!
Thank you for the feature Helen! I am flattered!!
So glad it all turned out well. He is a spitting image of his mum!
Yes , he is a lot like his Mum, I moved them back into the herd yesterday, had to walk them about 1km, he is so fat and soft now! By the time we got there he was knackered and laid straight down!! Mum just keeping mooing softly and he kept pottering along!
