Histology is the microscopic view of tissue. There is some very beautiful photography of tissues in the human body and that was the source for this. It was a trial piece and is made of ceramic tile pieces glued onto a 33cm square tile.
This one is great – it’s like someone has used a very old digital camera through a microscope and enlarged the picture – like it’s pixelated! Fantastic work!
Thanks, Michelle. It was fun to do as well, as the colours were suggested by different photos and aren’t what I’d naturally gravitate to.

So many spins, curves and color here!! Nice work!! ;-))
the name is a dead giveaway opening page and it did not need your name on it – marriage of art and science is working for you – the egg shapes would be good in fused glass – even foil beads to make them the focal points. pattern challenges the senses – dark border would be good
I think I’ve actually lost this one Betty! It was a real experiment with colours I don’t use in large amounts. The piece is about a year old and I don’t know where I’ve put it – frustrating! But I’ll use the photo as a basis for more.
