Wild bald eagle photographed near Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, Canada.
I love the look of this particular eagle, which I’m almost certain is a female.

I’m a retired stationary engineer who lives on British Columbia’s scenic Sunshine Coast, which although on the mainland, can only be accessed by water or air – just the way we Coasters like it!
Wildlife and nature photography is my hobby and passion. My primary camera is a Nikon D90 and most of these photos are taken with a Nikkor AF-S 70-300mm VR lens.
I appreciate and try to answer all sincere comments.
Great shot, timing and detail Carl!!
Thank you very much Chris. I wasn’t going to post this one as it was similar to the other (this is the previous shot), so I appreciate your kind comments on both. As for the timing, I watch for the eagle to take a slight crouch, which means one of two things…:)

I just love these, Carl!
Thank you very much Susana – glad you like them! Now if only I could draw… :)
Another brilliant capture Carl.
Thanks Andrea. I can’t decide which of the two I like best. This one’s a better compo I think.
