A wild North American river otter pup eyes me curiously while resting on its mother’s tale. It’s clearly struggling to stay awake after polishing off most of a flounder. Taken on the Georgia Strait shoreline near Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada.

I’m a retired stationary engineer who lives on British Columbia’s scenic Sunshine Coast, which although on the mainland, can only be accessed by water or air – just the way we Coasters like it!

Wildlife and nature photography is my hobby and passion. My primary camera is a Nikon D90 and most of these photos are taken with a Nikkor AF-S 70-300mm VR lens.

I appreciate and try to answer all sincere comments.
