Originally I’m a painter, abstract work, so called “matter” paintings that incorporate varieties of mixed media.
Inspired by Lisette Model I started black and white photography some 20 years ago…. Of course analogue, own darkroom… the works… I really loved the work in the dark room as well.
I bought my first digital camera two years ago…. and discovered the world of colour and of course the unending possibilities of photoshop…. and though I love the “pure” photography as well (www.miksang.com) I started working in layers again, with textures and brushes.. like my paintings….
Sometimes pure, sometimes humor, sometimes a “feel” or emotion is important…
I’m omnivorous… I like nearly every subject, except I’m absolutely no peoples photographer! Black and white, colour, nature, animals, analogue (Lomo), pure or worked over in photoshop… it all gives me great pleasure inspiration and energy!
