@ TOP 10 in the Avatar challenge of the “Wolves N’ Wild Dogs”group

@ Featured in the Group “Wolves N’ Wild Dogs”

The African Wild Dog is
an extremely endangered specie.

This was taken in June 07
at Sabi Sand – Kruger Park.
The sun was behind the subjects
and there was no way to better
position the safari vehicle.
I took quite a number of pictures
hoping to get at least one decent
one!

Among wild dogs only the Alpha male
and Alpha female will mate.
The pack will be at a particular
den only a few days, then move
the litter to another den
(to avoid predators).

This particular litter counted 14 pups!!

What a precious image Carisma, especially as it is such an endangered animal – and love the lighting and interaction between the two dogs. And 12 puppies! – fantastic.
