Amazing capture!!! It’s one of those photos that no matter what you did to it..the quality of the subject matter would always shine through..just check out that cobra’s eyes and the splayed out hands of that stunned chameleon..! The whole moment in time is amazing..well done I say.

great shot. People ask me ooh Africa wern’t you afraid of the snakes, well no, I love snakes and besides you seldom actually see them so what a treat to capture one on camera and making a kill

A wonderful capture. Great job.

poor little guy….he looks plastic! lol nice shot

Wonderful capture and timing. Usually one would see a snake swallowing its prey on the ground, but you captured it in a strike / erect pose and with the prey in the mouth, not a scene to be seen often. I do think that the image is slightly over exposed with washed out highlights and with some details loss. If you shoot in raw your ability to fix it will increase greatly. Try adjusting levels and contrast and exposure also. Consider a crop from above slightly above the snake’s head.

This is an amazing capture,a unique shot.Superb.

Wow.. This version is sooo much better. You managed to bring in the colors, the new crop concentrates on the snake w/o distracting elements, and the contrast and tonality are so much better. A wonderful and better version.. As for the washed out details in the highlights there isn’t much that can be done but the overall fix you did definitely compensate for it. Well done.

You are right, the poor thing did not stand a chance – they move sooo slowly! Thank you Janice – was also a lot of luck! The camera behaved well under the circumstances – had to point and shoot with no time to reason the frame – it was over in the bushes so quickly!!
Thanks for the favouring!!
