hello people slash artists/ art appreciators. I am a student at the University of Pretoria, studying BA Fine Arts. This is my first large scale oil painting. I would like to hear comments about this work, how one interpret the artwork or what one feels when seeing this piece of work. Criticism is welcomed.
hey there.. 2m X 1.5m? sure is a large scale i think its great work i love that you’ve found the right balance of detail without losing the surreal quality of it.. my only quirk would be the colouring between his legs.. you have a nice line that draws the eye from the bottom left corner moving towards the center that you havent followed up on between his legs that sort of leaves the eye lost and aimless.. if you were to bring this out a little more it would compliment the other verticle lines that draw the eye to the center.. just a tid-bit though i really do like this work your stuff is great..
