Taken at the Tam Son Hoi Quan Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Cross-processed for consistency with the other photos from this trip. The beam of light is very real!

caroline what an amazing eye you have…. your folio is just beautiful …you captured such a quiet stillness here yet other works have an energy and editorial immediacy….have enjoyed viewing your travels…and delighting in your work
wow you sure know how to give a compliment!! Thank you so very much for that incredibly kind comment. It definitely inspires and encourages me to keep doing what I am doing. Glad you like the photos!
Love the light – and the desaturation/cross-processing – it creates such a wonderful mood.PS: These are incense cones?
Thanks Vikram … they’re incense coils. It’s like one big stick that was just wound around. I think that I read that they burn continuously for a week. At the rate that I burn incense in my house, I should have just brought a couple of these back in my suitcase!!
Great capture with beautiful light.
Thank you Deirdre
