Frangipani II
During my visit to Phnom Penh, I was staying at a hotel called the Frangipani Villa. Everyday, they would leave a frangipani flower on the bed which I put in the black and teal coffee mugs so that the flower would not wilt. This photo was taken on the window sill of that hotel in Phnom Penh.

Wow, this is great. The water looks almost looks like mercury ( in a good way). Love the swirly reflections of the water on the petals too x
Caroline Fournier replied
Thank you so much Kaylea!! Glad you like it!

Fantastic work Caroline! It speaks of stillness, but there is subtle movement here too :)
Caroline Fournier replied

so simply STUNNING ! Caroline – looks so ’ ethereal ’ – borrowed the wonderful word from you – what a fabulous collection of images – SO BEAUTIFUL & CAPTIVATING – love them all :)
Caroline Fournier replied
Awww one of my favorite words!! Thank you so much … it turned out a million times better than I ever thought it would. Sometimes a little improvising in a hotel room will work out in the end!! Glad to see you back on RB … I can definitely understand about the craziness of keeping everything together. Cannot wait to see more of your beautiful work!

How many times do we see something intresting like this and miss the opportunity to make the shot. You must have been very pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
PS very good “photo-journalistic” account of your visit to Cambodia. Was this a vacation? I would think a newspaper would be interested in your photos and reporting flair for a weekend feature.
Continued good shooting, regards, Greg.

I was definitely very happy with the result. Glad you like it. And thank you so very much for your incredibly kind comment. I have definitely thought more and more about doing something involving both writing and the photography and yes this was just my vacation, nothing more. Still a relatively new hobby of less than a couple of years for me so will definitely see where it will take me. Welcome to RB neighbour!!
