I’m an accidental hobbyist photographer. I was working on a project in 2005 and needed to take some photos. The only camera I owned at the time was a 3.1 mp point and shoot that didn’t always work so I borrowed a 5.3 mp point and shoot and discovered life behind and through the camera lens.
It is quite likely that genetics played a part in this “accident.” My Father and my Uncle enjoyed photography as a hobby throughout their lives and both were quite good behind the camera. Other relatives in my Father’s family are both hobbyist and professional photographers.
My first camera purchase was a Kodak Z712. I now own a Canon SX50 which is my “go to” camera.
I was born, raised and lived most of my life in New York but moved to Florida in 2009 and I love it here!
In addition to photography, I also enjoy jewelry arts, mixed media, altered art and many other creative endeavors.
