Blatantly staring down the moon
I grapple with an apple
that goe’s down to soon
while the globe is turning it’s other cheek
to the sun which slap’s with fiery heat
I look to the sky a black cavernous yaw
speckled with spot’s that inspire my awe
but it’s soon cut short by a tabby cat’s claw!
With feline fury this pussy has warned me
if I ignore her presence
she will adorne me.
What with all the feline activity that I’ve noticed on RB lately, they have begun to sneak in through the cat-flap in my minds door and are now invading my dream’s! Last night I actually saved a cat that had fallen down a pipe half filled with water allthough it had turned into a fish after I had drawn it out……… hmmmm.
I started this thinking that I would take part in the poem a day for a month project, but I know I’ll miss at least half those day’s due to my ridiculous working hour’s, so this is my nod to the brave, free soul’s who actually do it, I salute you!
