Portrait of Kristina
in my studio with the photograph the inspired my portrait of Kristina, my brother’s wife.

The photograph was taken by my brother, Major Herold Hudson, during his deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom with his webcam during a rare private moment they shared one evening. He shared the photograph with me so that I could help him create a movie which he gave to us all prior to his return from war that he created to say thank you to us all for supporting him during his deployment.

His movie can be seen at my journal post here

Military families are strong families with lots of love and support for one another just like ours is a strong family with lots of love.

*_An interesting side note is that when I started this portrait and took the white chalk, moved it around the surface, images began to come up from the wall that were there from the previous owners of our home.

We live in an old house and know that there were children living in this old house of ours throughout the years.

Do you see the all of the images that came up, through the surface?

Interesting, huh?

Just like a chalkboard in a classroom, funny how these things work out._*
