My Mother My Self
Pastel painting I did on a photograph printed on watercolor paper that I took during a conversation with my mother on Skype.
We have enjoyed many of these intimate conversations early in the morning with our coffee and cigarettes (we are both going to quit someday so please no comments).
My mother is my confidant, my friend, my foundation which is to say that she has been for me and for my life the basis the groundwork of anything: my moral foundation

My mother reminds me as well that today is a new day too

She is my sunshine

I love you mom

Thank you for all that you do and for your strength, your courage and your persistence…most of all for your sense of humor
