During this holiday season, December 2011, a song for Amy and for Jason; a song from me for them expressing feelings come from me during the holidays when loved ones are away so for you both this is for you and so if this is not true o.k. if it is o.k. for tonight though know that this is for you both to know that in my heart I feel for you both for being so far apart, know to this that my thoughts, my prayers are too with you both so that knowing this, that others care for you both and your love will mean something some day.
Today’s Our War portrait is of Amy. Amy loves Jason.
Jason is leaving soon
He is a Marine in Our War. Jason is going to Afghanistan.
Amy has asked all who know Jason and who are related to Jason to write letters to Jason because she is creating a book for him to take with him on his deployment.
I asked Amy if I could draw a portrait of her instead of writing a letter to Jason.
Their story is similar to many military couples and unique and special.
I have had the great opportunity to get to know Amy during the course of being part of her thoughtful and special heartwarming gift that she is creating for her Jason. She is a remarkable young woman. I admire her very much.
My thoughts and prayers are with both her and Jason.
I pray for all of our Soldiers to come home soon to those who love them and to those who will love them and to our Soldiers to be strong, persevere and believe in themselves always, stay strong.
