MEDIUM: Acrylic painting
My inspiration for this drawing came to me long ago when I was learning the fine art of acrylic painting.
I was in my loft in Seattle and I became frustrated with my inability to paint perfectly. Therefore, I decided to use my hands.
I found such freedom by touching the medium, by experiencing the feeling of the paint, the smoothness of it gliding with me to help me to express myself on the board.
My drawing, my painting of a clown who has two faces and three hands did not originally begin this way, only through experiencing my painting through my senses did I develop the painting further which I already conceived of in my sketches and my mind’s eye.
The two faces and the third hand with the circle were added after I tossed away the brushes and became part of the painting.
Another painting on exhibit through this online gallery for my brother to see since he cannot view it with me here, together in my studio or here me tell him this story in person…these are the stories that one like myself forgets to tell a sibling until they are no longer close by and easy to take for granted.
