MEDIUM: mixed-media of encaustic painting: bees wax, powder pigment, hard pastel, found objects, paper, oil paint, oil pastel, glass, stone, with other media in a group of four panels each on birch panel.
four panels of encaustic construct works of art as a public art installation design concept piece
The term I use to describe my work – encaustic construct is one I derived which I felt best suited how I create these works of art.
I use found objects and encaustic medium which is part damar crystals, bees wax, and powder pigment.
I use a similar process as Jasper Johns in that I burn in or fuse the wax to create multiple layers of wax medium with pigment that creates a highly luminescent, multiple-layered work of art that is also a three-dimensional wall sculpture as well.
H, you remember how you came to my exhibits and always supported my exhibits?
…well here are some of my artworks for you so that you can still do a “gallery walk” even over there so far away from me…
I love you always made time to stop by on the way to the base and all the times that you supported me during the struggling artist times…which actually never seem to end but you were there when I never saw no end in sight.
You gave me hope and for that I give you a gallery to view…you cared and you sincerely wanted to view my artwork so here you go…
Love,
C

Thank you Toby. I appreciate knowing your perspective of how you view and feel about my works in other mediums knowing that you are a wonderfully skillful photographer-your comment means a great deal.

By the way, the work of art which is the second from the left…I used 100 year old nails from the shipyards…there was a renovation here and they were just going to toss them, no way I say so now they are preserved forever in this work of art which a buyer who appreciated history and preservation as much as I do bought it.
