Tree of Change by Cara Schingeck

Currently unavailable for purchase

rural landscape black and white cool toned photograph of one tree as it reaches towards the sky and as it loses it’s leaves with the change of the season.

The change is symbolic.

Fall to Winter it does not matter but for me it represents the concept of change.

I have toned a black and white photograph to provide a cool feeling. That is for you H…keep it cool!

No really it is for H but also it is for me once I bring it be to me…but, it represent also that I feel change has a cool feeling inside personally a chilling effect that is not necessarily one that is felt on the skin but felt in the soul, in the heart…it can feel like one is sinking deep within oneself.

Then as one adjusts to this feeling, as one settles oneself and adjust as we do as human beings we become acclimated or maybe it is that we become familiar once with who we are now.

Just a thought.

This is beautiful, Cara. Not having someone away in a dangerous position, I can only imagine that change would feel like that to you. You probably always have that chilling effect, not knowing. Change to me is energizing. I thrive on it. I hope one day soon your soul can feel that, too. My thoughts are with you and your brother.

  • Tori, thank you for your comment on the art and for your encouraging words. I don’t have that “chilling effect” that you wrote of though, I can understand why you may consider this but to tell you the reason as to why I do not it is because my brother is so full of life and joy and has been since he was born, he is my youngest brother you see…well, I love the change of the seasons and where we live in the Northwest of the U.S. the seasons are so wonderfully changing and we welcome the change and we thrive on the change and my brother and myself adapt and grow with every new challenge. I am so glad that you shared with me your words and thoughts so that I would have the opportunity to clarify for you and myself and possibly others that I, my brother and my family are like this tree in a way, we are thriving…we may go dormant for a while, we may appear to be so but it is just our way of adjusting to change and then look out…the next season is coming and we are bursting out to enjoy the fresh clean air and the newness and surprise and experiences that await us with the new season. I am so grateful to have found your comment tonight. I am going fishing with my father tomorrow morning and I was just browsing through my images and for some reason I never saw your comment, but, tonight-your comment is so nice to have in my thoughts as I go to sleep….thank you.
