January 23, 2012 Everyday I discover something new and unique about brother, his life and our relationship as brother and sister; I thank God everyday for him—I remember all those who lost brothers sisters—
FOR TODAY though I WANT to HONOR, FOR MY BROTHER, to REMEMBER Lieutenant Colonel Herold J. Hudson

Because he is home, he is here now and continues to give to our community in ways that you and I will never understand and if I go on about it it will only embarrass him so I won’t because I respect him so I have already said too much

Now my brother is home from the war

When I took this photo he was away.
I look at this photo now and I see much more
Than I did then
Maybe because I was not seeing clearly
From the sadness that comes from loss
Or from losing
Or from wanting
Or from needing
Now I see much more than I did then
Much more than I want to maybe
But this is how it is
My brother is home from the war
I look at this photo now and I see much more
Than I did then

Heroes to Hometowns This music is perfect for this meeting of our heroes Remember

    leave their
    marks
    on the sand

How do I feel so much now how do I understand my feelings knowing that so many others do not ever welcome home their brothers, their sisters to feel these same feelings? So who am I? How dare I share this with you? So many conflicts how shall we figure this out?

  • Who the hell am i?

So many people I care about and then I end up with what? Not caring about the one person who I care about the most, my son, I have forgotten, no. I have not ever forgotten to care about him, you, but I do end up missing so many moments with my son the one person who I want to be walking on the beach with talking about moments and memories and making new memories with and just being with to just be with these are good times, not angry times just times that are ours in these days today
