FEATURED in The Group

I cried for all of those lost and for the other military families—My heart is with you all.

Today the Pentagon released the names of the Navy Seals from the crash of the Chinook helicopter carrying 38 people, 17 of whom were Navy SEALs
These young souls who served their country

Like many other brave souls who won’t be coming home
—as I heard the broadcast on the radio I thanked God for my brother’s safe return.

I cried for all of those lost and for the other military families—My heart is with you all.

a soldier carries the flag of the United States during the funeral service for a soldier named Robert who sacrificed life to help others-he is one of many hero’s-a soldier does not have to die to be a hero-this is not what I am saying-read on to understand that this young man, this U.S. Soldier served his country in our war.

He arrived in Afghanistan and died three weeks later.

He was a scholar, a star athlete, a volunteer firefighter-he died trying to help others.

Robert was killed July 18 as his unit was running supplies to remote outposts. A vehicle in front of the convoy hit a roadside bomb. Robert jumped out to help when he stepped on an IED (IED is an improvised explosive device also known as a roadside bomb) killing him.

He was brought home in a very small box.

He was 25 years old.
