This is great!!
The book of Revelation refers to Jesus as the Lion of Judah. Jesus came as the Lamb of God as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. When he returns he will be the Lion of Judah and come to judge mankind.
before Christ was to be crucified the BIble tells us how he struggled with seeing it through. Christ was God in the flesh. Because he was a man he struggled with things just as we do. He needed to seek Gods strength to see being crucified through.
The Lamb of God was sacrificed, died, and rose on the third day. He ascended to Heaven to intercede for mankind. The Bible is clear he will come again but tihs time not to save the world. He will come to judge the world.
In your photo I see the Lion of Judah (Jesus) once again amidst a task he does not want to do but must do. He must come to earth again to judge. When he does the opportunity for redemption will be over.
Just as Jesus struggled with going to the cross, I believe he struggles with Judgement Day. While on the cross, with his last breath, he asked God to forgive us, for we know not what we do.
What does that mean? We deny Christ today just as people did then. It breaks his heart because Jesus knows that those that deny Christ are facing eternal death. Christ is the mediator between us and God.
I see Christ as the Lion of Judah weeping…not wanting to see it through. He wants to give us more time to accpect Jesus as Lord and acknowledge God and the one and only God.
This is such an emotive photo for me. I do ask you to consider reading some of my latests posts.
You unknowingly have given me a wonderful gift. A photo that says so much to me and reminds me of just how much Jesus loves me, you, us.
My gift to you is the link to my writings. I hope you accept it by clicking the links and at least reading what I have written.

Here is a link to a post I put up in early 2007. I also see the Lion of Judah as strong, proud and determined. Your photo does not depict Christ as a wimp. To me it depicts his love, compassion, and heartache for mankind.
