Cancer Council Relay For Life.

Hi everyone,

This year i am the captain of my team for the Hills Relay For Life.
The Relay For Life is a fundraising event where all the money raised is donated to the Cancer Council. The event goes for 24 hours over the weekend of May 4th and 5th 2013. It will be held at Wrights Road Reserve, Kellyville (Sydney’s Hills District, NSW).

I would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me. Not only will i be participating in the Relay but i am also taking part in the Guinness World Record attempt for the most heads being shaved simultaneously. Yes, you read that right- i will be getting my head shaved at 8pm on May 4th 2013.
I have never had my head shaved before so have no idea if the look will suit me or not, but i am doing it to raise money for people who have been affected by cance…

Pink Stumps Day 2013.

My husband and 2 eldest children are members of the Castle Hill RSL Cricket Club and each year we help to raise much needed funds for The McGrath Foundation.
Last year we raised over $2000 and we are hoping to smash that amount this time round.

Every dollar makes a difference and your donation will help the McGrath Foundation to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, as well as to increase breast awareness in young Australian women. To date, the McGrath Foundation have placed 78 Breast Care Nurses across Australia, who have helped support over 16,000 Australian families.

100% of all money raised will be donated to the McGrath Foundation and you will automatically receive a tax-deductible receipt via email.

As we begin counting down to our Pink Stumps Day, w…

I'm participating in the Hills 2012 RELAY FOR LIFE

Hi everyone,

I just thought i’d let you all know that i am competing in the 2012 Hills area Relay For Life which helps to raise money for Cancer research.
I have set myself a personal goal to walk 40kms (at least) during the relay. I have joined the Excelsior Public School Emus team as this is the school which my two eldest children attend.
For the past few years i have considered participating but never actually did- this year however, i registered early and am now training for what could ultimately be a life-changing event.

What Is Relay For Life?

If you would like to help out by sponsoring me, please go to THIS LINK where you can make online donations. All donations $2 or over are tax deductable and an official receipt will be emailed immediately to you.

"Hearts" By red addiction is famous!

I recently bought Hearts By red addiction and love this tee.

I was also recently asked to be part of a panel of everyday people to try and give my opinions on a new chicken product to be sold in the Australian Domino’s Pizza stores. The night i went to do the taste test i was wearing my “Hearts” tee.

I am happy to say that my ugly mug made the cut and now Red Addiction’s Hearts tee is famous!
You can see me wearing the tee (and trying to daintily eat in a lady-like manner) both on the screenshot/preview of the ad as well as about 23 seconds into the ad!

Possible meet-up in the Mudgee region??

I know the Junee meet is in full swing, but after coming back from a weekend up at Mudgee i was wondering if another central west meet would/could be considered in the future?
I was thinking about visiting places like Lue, Bylong, Rylstone, Kandos, Wollar, Gulgong, Mudgee and going to places such as the Munghorn Nature Reserve, out to Mogo Road (picnic area, bushwalking, etc), Goulburn River National Park, Lee’s Pinch (lookout), Dunn’s Swamp, Frog Rock, The Drip etc.

Maybe even possibly go out for a look around the churches and cemetaries of the old towns and villages. There is so much history to embrace around this region.

There are many bushwalking areas/tracks around and my family had a farm in the area (we don’t now though), but i still have a number of friends live i…

Hints, Tips and Advice needed please.

I have been asked to shoot some candids for a friend’s daughter’s wedding this coming weekend (Saturday July 2nd).

I have been looking through all the wedding photos here on RB and have an idea of the types of things i hope to shoot on the day itself.

I will be using an Olympus SP570-UZ (20X zoom, “bridge” camera) and if i can help it, i do not want to use the flash at all. I have already been to the church to get a feel for it and to determine where some good places could be for me to shoot from so i can get the guests, bridal party, etc and capture the moments which may otherwise go un-noticed.

I was just wondering what i could do to make the most of the day and if you have any suggestions for me to consider. What are some thing i should NOT miss shooting?

I thin…
