Sunrise surprise by Chris Garner

Sunrise surprise by

Max was ‘as sick as a dog’ – not surprising as he’s a dog – but it kept me up for what would be a memorable sunrise. If this had been a sunset a 100,000 people would have taken the same or better shots – but at 0430hrs on a weekday how many milkmen have their Digital SLR’s with them? Thank you!

With just two lenses and in a panic, I took about twenty shots. Not sure which is the ‘best’ – but this is offered as a taster.

you should put that in the sunrise sunset group and the group for all things orange :) Have you joined any yet? That way you get to put your work about a bit and other people you don’t know can see it.

Hi Jeanette – how do I go about adding piece to a group? Can’t seem to fathom that one out. Thanks for the advice though

Really wish i’d have caught this sky! it is amazing very lucky to be awake to catch this! the colour is so vibrant and the way you keep it all in line with just being able to catch the pitch black tree line adds so much to the photo!!

Thanks ericseyes and Ste for your comments and support. This photo was focused right in to the heart of the sunrise – others, pulled out some, have hues through to blue and purple.
