When Johnny came marching home from Vietnam it was on a med evac from Germany . Then off to a VA hospital for a number of operations on his legs and back . You see Johnny took a grenade meant for his squad . It hit his back and legs as he protected his buddies who he turned and faced them yelling ,
" Grenade ".

Johnny almost didn’t make it . He lives with fellow vets in a two bedroom apartment . This is as tall as Johnny will ever be able to stand . Once a marine standing tall . Now bent over and still standing tall in his heart . Meet a vet , thank them . Meet someone who is still serving . Thank them .
