“Dwell” is the first complete painting of 8 works from “The Apocalypse Symphony Collection” in a collaboration between artists Mason Wilson (The Canvas Butcher,) and Chelsea Mann. It features a mushroom home on a 20 X 16 inch canvas with a fluid inkwash in the background, and is detailed with delicate pinstriped india inks.Within the pinstriping along the bottom of the painting is a tucked away city next to a tree with a tire swing. There is also a faded Enso Symbol in the background, which is traditionally used as a Buddhist Symbol for enlightenment and “the void” with the self-expressed hidden meaning “To Live by Nature, To Fall by Nature.” The work represents a need to be one with Mother Nature and our surroundings she has created for us. Each work from “The Apocalypse Symphony Collection” also features a symbol from the Ashtamangala, which for this particular work is located in the bottom right corner. The symbol chosen for this piece is the Treasure Chest, symbolizing the spiritual treasures within which include good health, wisdom, and prosperity. The color blue was chosen as an overall theme because of it’s ability to inspire creativity. The painting includes both signatures from the artists.
