Sometimes I think he looks quite desolate.
Well if he’s lost his yellow hat… No, desolate isn’t what I was thinking. Just shows you how subjective it is. I imagined a little round ‘O’ underneath for the mouth, like maybe he was surprised, but he could be cheeky too..
It is only sometimes he looks desolate. I was going to say baleful, but I looked that up in a dictionary and, apparently, I’ve been using that word incorrectly for a number of years. So I decided on desolate instead.
My life is a madcap rollercoaster of thrills and spills sometimes y’know. There are dictionaries and looking things up in dictionaries. Sometimes I get so giddy and want it all to stop… Thank goodness I have painting pretty pictures (and inflicting my obtuse sense of humour on others) in which to relax and vent myself. But yes, I digress – did you notice? – he does look both surprised and cheeky. Oft times quizzical too. He’s an enigmatic bear.
That, I accept – enigmatic he is!
