The Castillo was built in 1672 to protect and defend Spain’s claims in the New World.

    Thanks, Neil! Yes, it really was a great place to take pictures! I regret I only had about an hour to spend there. Re: the door…I did not try to open it, but I feel sure it is openable, most of the other doors there seemed to be. Thanks again for your comment :)
