Shoesmith's Madonna of the Atlantic by

Art deco style panel ‘Madonna of the Atlantic’ by Kenneth Shoesmith in 1936 from the original Cunard ship the Queen Mary. Note the nautical objects at her feet.

It was situated in the Cabin (1st) Class Drawing Room (Ladies Retreat) on Promenade Deck. It was used as an altar painting and was hidden behind partitions when not in use.
