Great capture of a great pub! Have had many a beer there :)

  • Thanks for dropping by. I thought you looked a bit young to have this one as a pub. There is an almost duplicate somewhere near the Calder Highway I believe.

Now I did have my first ‘legal’ drink at this old pub. I grew up in Clifton Hill and this hotal sponsored the Clifton Hill CC which I played at from juniors. I was also there for the final rounds before it was sold off and became a McDonalds (still is?) that would be late 80’s I think (1989?) There were 4 pubs all in close proximity to each other. The Terminus (a few hundred metres down the road on the left) The Normandy (a few hundred metres directly behind to the right) and The Clifton (a block further back on the right ) can remember many nights ummm…staggering from one to the other with mates in tow! =) great memories, been many many years since I was up that way.
