    why do you speak in latin child? i am forced to learn it, although i have no idea what this means without my dictionary. i presume that it’s ACTUALLY latin, sure looks it.

    As far as I can remember, it means “to the honor/loyalty and virtue/strength of the Swiss”.

    This is the inscription above the lion. During an educational tour of Europe, my group stopped at this location for a few minutes. Unfortunately, I can’t recall the name of the place.

    I had to take Latin as well, for two years! I can still remember a little…
