I like how the water goes just above the nose and how you can see boats in the reflection of the eyes. The man holding a sign is so small but a powerful part of the painting as is the woman’s face (to the left) watching him hold the SOS sign. I like the metal that the face is made out of as well as the wide open eyed panicked look on the face as it sinks. The torn sky is magnificent.
