Graham Beatty

I first picked up a pencil to make a serious attempt at art around the end of January 2008. I hadn’t taken art since high school several years earlier and I thought maybe it would be interesting to try some drawings. I joined an online art forum and started posting my work, and the critiques from other artists really helped me to improve. I began working initially in graphite, then tried coloured pencil, and now work in acrylic paints as well. I’m often torn when it comes to choosing which medium to utilize. I enjoy producing art that is meaningful to people, and occasionally accept commissions. Art for me is an enjoyable hobby and although I take my final product seriously, I always try to keep it fun.
